Our Mares newb.gif (2598 bytes)

Big Stop Rosie  ::  Pedigree

Also known as Big Rose is a registered QH # 3880143 99' model chestnut brood mare. This mare has excellent halter and performance QH breeding like; Skipa Star, Skipper W, Leo, Three Bars, Little Lou Pep, and Parkers Trouble just to name a few greats! She is well broke but she is not totally sound due to mild Founder several years ago. Big Rose has Bird Catcher spots, a few Grease Marks, cute little fox like ears, and good bone too. We expect that Big Rose and Canyon will be a wonderful mating...my first QH/ApHC!

Big Rose has produced one exceptional chestnut stud colt, this colt is "put-up" like a brick house! He's absolutly gorgeous if you like the "Bull Dog" QH type. "I like them but in small amounts, they have their place in the equine world for sure", they just can't take the X-country miles like a leaner build can...but boy hold on for those quick turns and stops when there is a cow in front of them! TGS Ruby Canyon newb.gif (2458 bytes)
Pedigree

Ruby is a 2000, Canyon daughter out of a multi-medallion earning mare! We bred and raised Ruby. I can’t say enough good about this mare. She is conformationaly correct, has a wonderful disposition, tough parti-colored hooves and straight legs. A beautiful head, great shoulder and a powerful hip…Best of all, that hip is covered with spots!!!
We use Ruby for Endurance and pleasure trail riding. She is competing in 50 and 75 mile endurance trail events around the northwest region. Ruby is currently being ridden by my 14 year old daughter Alicia! The two of them are working well together.

Ruby is a great mare that uses her mind and negotiates trails obstacles with great thought and consideration for herself and her rider. She has an almost unflappable disposition, being very calm, quiet, and responsive. This mare has an incredible work ethic. We also do some halter and performance showing with her.

Thanks, to Char Richards of Richwood farms, in Otsego Mi. for leasing us Ruby’s dam, RW’s Olympic Dreamer for breeding. We know that Ruby has a great set of hoof prints to follow and a great legacy to up-hold.

Ruby as with the rest of my herd comes from, yes; you guessed, it, bloodlines that are “Saddle Horses”! Take a look at her pedigree; it is loaded with GREATS of the breed! Horses that participate in multiple events, they ride English, western, halter, jump and are used for Endurance and Competitive trail riding! She has many halter and performance champions, several earners of ROM’s and Endurance medallions in her pedigree. Very close up!

Ruby’s movement is very smooth and low to the ground with little or no wasted energy, she shuffles too!!
Ruby is a bit smaller in stature than most of Canyon’s kids measuring 14:3hands and weighing in at 1,050 lbs. The perfect trail mount, is she!

Ruby is the dam of Cataloma (see his page).

* My son has stood atop this mare with his lariat, twirling, whirling and spinning this rope. Ruby just stands, her only concern is when the rope gets close enough to, shave her ear hairs off! Then she gets this look like could you please be more careful or she’ll step out from under him making him jump off only to stand two steps away and wait for him to re-mount and do it again. She is truly an exceptional mare! We are blessed to have her as part of our herd.

Athenas Dream newb.gif (2293 bytes)
Pedigree

Dreamer is a half Thoroughbred daughter of Chelsea’s Ghost (Gump).

She is a 2000 model bay snowflake mare that has proven herself to be a wonderful Endurance trail mount. Dreamer is a very bold, sensitive, and hardy individual, who takes excellent care of herself. She displays the stamina and temperament necessary to do well in the sport.

Dreamer moves in a very correct balanced frame. Her stride at the trot displays with much propulsion, reach and drive! She moves beautifully being an up-hill built individual (meaning that her withers are higher than her croup). Dreamer would be suitable for Dressage and she LOVES to jump. She could do combined training or other Sport Horse type events.
We find Dreamer to be entertaining. She has quiet the sense of humor! Dreamer can’t talk…but boy can she communicate! It is all in her eyes, she can be read like a book. She is always excited to see her people. And is very interested in knowing if you might have a carrot or some other goodie for her!

Dreamer produced a beautiful loud colored colt in 2005 and then began her endurance career in 06’ and continues this career currently.

Dreamer’s sire lines include foundation Appy greats like Dun Roven Chelsea’s Image, Chief Chelsea, who traces tail male through Desert Dancer, Pharoah and Winged Hawk to Spotted Eagle and Fire Flies, scions of the Ghost Wind line. Ulrich Kitten III, the dam of Chelsea’s Ghost, is a product of the well known Ulrich Ranch of Cody, Wy. She is sired by Ben Buzz, a tail male descendant of the Starbucks Leopard. Kitten was a known shuffler and passed her running walk on to many of her offspring.

Dreamer also carries incredible Thoroughbred bloodlines like; Nearco, Native Dancer, Alibhai, and War Admiral.
I would like to thank, Nicole Lally and Carol Austin of Austin Sport Horses for breeding this incredibly athletic individual.
