Welcome Friend! newb36.gif (3774 bytes)

We here at Touch O' Glory Appaloosas http://www.tgash.com want to invite you to take a look at our wonderful spotted steeds, we hope you enjoy your visit with us". And please, drop me an email and say Hi… tgcanyon@netzero.net

We are doing our best and praying for God's blessing's each day!

Currently our Appaloosa breeding program combines Foundation Appaloosa,
Thoroughbred and Arabian blood to influence the genetic make-up of our horses (learn more about the Appaloosa breed at http://appaloosa.com).

We aspire to produce a "using/saddle horse". History tells us this is a horse that is capable of being ridden for many hours and/or many miles at a time, and often many days a week! These horses were generally smooth in gait, smart in mind; many had cow horse ability and seemingly unending stamina!

It is our experience that combining the genes of the Foundation Appaloosa with certain Arab, TB or QH lines seem to produce that very desirable "saddle horse" similar to those produced in the past eras!

Our horses are being ridden in the mountains of north Idaho. They encounter all manner of wild game i.e. deer, moose, elk, bear, turkeys, quail and many more critter's too!

"This is truly God's Country…and we are blessed to reside in such a lovely place. And best of all to be able to tour this territory from aback our wonderful spotted steeds"!

Our horses have wonderful gaits (many of them do the highly sought after Indian Shuffle). They by and large have extreme boldness, sensitivity, toughness, and endurance (NO, we do not find them to be "HOT")! These qualities make them a superb horse for the "high country". This high country is our training ground; these horses traverse the mountains, climb the rock, cross over the rivers and train tracks (as Burlington Northern & Santa Fe trains both run in our back yard)! We have found as well that our horses have great physical attributes. With their strong parti-colored hooves; our horses are barefoot all the time! (Learn more about "Natural Hoof" care at http://www.hoofrehab.com)

They move with natural impulsion, balance, elasticity, and speed. They have a fast metabolism and efficient recoveries of the cardio vascular and respiratory systems. These attributes are of great benefit when riding in the beautiful mountains of north Idaho and when pulsing down at Vet checks during endurance ride competitions (to learn more about endurance riding visit http://www.AERC.org)!

Thanks again for taking the time to visit my web site and I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay.
Please, return often and watch our spots change!
